Sportsbook in Ontario?

Its looking like the Federal and Ontario governments are working to allow proper “Vegas-Style” sportsbooks in the province!
Currently, At Caesars Windsor, there is “LEGENDS SPORTS LOUNGE”, which allows a form of sports wagering. Its basically just a glorified Proline with the same crappy rules and Odds that is offered throughout Ontario. If “Vegas-Style” Sportsbooks are allowed, gamblers would be able to bet on individual games, and not have to bet a 3 game parlay as set out by the rules of Proline. This would draw in lots of American gamblers to Caesars Windsor from Detroit Casinos like the MGM Grand Casino and Greektown casino, as well as draw them to Niagara Falls’ casinos, Fallsview Casino and Casino Niagara. Additions of Sportsbooks in casinos and race tracks would bring in a lot of extra cash!
It has been suggested that there may be some opposition to the idea. John Tory, the Progressive Conservative Leader, stated it’s just another distraction by the Ontario Liberals, and
Peter Kormos, NDP critic, said expanding gambling in the province is incredibly irresponsible and shows just how addicted the Liberals are to gaming revenues.
In the USA, sports gambling is illegal except for in Las Vegas, Neveda. Allowing proper sports wagering at casinos (and possible horse tracks such as Woodbine), would draw a ton of people and money to these locations.
Here’s hoping for a proper Sportsbook in Ontario and their Casinos! (and if we’re lucky… racetracks like Woodbine as well! hell maybe even Ajax Downs too!!! )
